Sleep bruxism is a masticatory muscle activity occurring during sleep, primarily characterized by the grinding and clenching of teeth. It is one of the most common sleep-related disorders.

AesyBite™ Discover is a medical device intended to support people diagnosed with sleep bruxism through education, self-monitoring, and lifestyle tracking.

The device includes a boil-and-bite oral appliance, designed to be worn during sleep for a maximum of 25 days. A single-use, disposable thermoforming tray is provided to facilitate the custom fitting of the oral appliance. In addition to providing occlusal protection comparable to that of a conventional bruxism mouthguard, the oral appliance incorporates electronic components that detect and record tooth grinding or clenching activity.

Recorded data can be transferred to the AesyBite™ Discover mobile app, which displays bruxism metrics and trends and allows users to enter journal annotations to support lifestyle habit tracking, such as exercise, sleep, stress, and alcohol consumption.
